Connected Products should NOT disconnect the user!

Connected Products sind heute allgegenwärtig. Ob im privaten- oder beruflichen Kontext, sie sind in unseren Alltag integriert – oft vereinfachen sie uns diesen.

Die Deutsche Bahn bringt mit über 3.000 Stellwerken, 70.000 Weichen, rund 5.400 Bahnhöfen (Anzeigen, Uhren, Fahrstühlen, Rolltreppen etc.), über 2.500 Loks und 80.000 Güterwagen im Cargo-Bereich, den Zügen im Personenverkehr und zahlreichen Instandhaltungswerken einiges an Assets, bzw. “Produkten” mit, die ein großes Innovationspotential in Hinblick auf “Connected Products” bzw. IoT und Digital Twins aufweisen und Vorteile fürs Business bedeuten. Doch neben den zahlreichen “Produkten”, Things und Twins dieser Welt, sollte eines nicht in Vergessenheit geraten. “Connected Products should NOT disconnect the user”.

Bartosch Debicki und Jonas Podszuweit wollen einen Einblick und Überblick geben, Beispiele mitbringen, innerhalb aber auch außerhalb der Deutschen Bahn.


Bartosch Debicki studierte Informatik in Hessen und Mediendesign am Bodensee. Von der Mitgründung eines Startups, über diverse leitende Rollen innerhalb der Kreativ/-Beratungsbranche, arbeitet er heute beim Digitalpartner der Deutschen Bahn – der DB Systel. Knapp 2,5 Jahre unterstützte er den Bereich IoT in seiner Rolle als UX Lead, bei der Einführung eines nutzerzentrierten Vorgehens und der damit verbundenen Entwicklung von IoT-Lösungen. In seiner aktuellen Rolle als Senior UX Berater im – der Digitalagentur der DB für User Experience Design, hilft er Konzerngesellschaften der Deutschen Bahn bei der Umsetzung digitaler Produkte.

Jonas Podszuweit studierte Produktionstechnik und -management in Hamburg. In seinen ersten Stationen beim Automatisierungskonzern KUKA AG in Augsburg sammelte er Erfahrungen im Automobilesektor und half bei der Etablierung und Umsetzung der Industrie 4.0 Strategie. Knapp zwei Jahre unterstützte er in seiner Tätigkeit bei der DB Systel die Konzerngesellschaften der Deutschen Bahn bei der Identifikation und Umsetzung von IoT Use Cases. In seiner aktuellen Rolle als Innovation Manager IoT Bahntechnik in der Konzernleitung der Deutschen Bahn AG hilft er insbesondere bei der Umsetzung der Digital- und Technikstrategie mit dem Fokus auf IoT und Digital Twin. Dabei werden über sogenannte IoT Leuchtturmprojekte die strategischen Ansätze in konkreten Initiativen umgesetzt. Seit Oktober 2019 absolviert er zudem ein berufsbegleitendes MBA Studium.
