We recently had the pleasure of visiting the DFKI in Saarbrücken to attend the doctoral colloquium at Saarland University, hosted by Prof. Dr. Antonio Krüger’s research group.
The event brought together PhD students, researchers, and faculty from three groups. PhD students from the Ubiquitous Media Technology Lab (Prof. Dr. Antonio Krüger), the Interaction Experience Group at HTW Saar, and our moxd lab (Prof. Dr. Matthias Böhmer) presented their ongoing projects and received feedback from fellow researchers and faculty members.
The event was a fantastic gathering of minds, featuring project presentations from 19 PhD students across three research teams: the Ubiquitous Media Technology Lab at Saarland University (Prof. Dr. Antonio Krüger), the Interaction Experience Group at HTW Saar (Prof. Dr. Maximilian Altmeyer), and our moxd lab (Prof. Dr. Matthias Böhmer). It provided a valuable platform for students to share their ongoing research and gather constructive feedback from peers and faculty members.
Beyond the academic discussions, it was a wonderful chance to explore new ideas, hear diverse perspectives, and reconnect with friends across the different labs. A big thank you to everyone who organized and presented! We capped off the successful event with a visit to Saarcade—a dedicated pinball and arcade museum—where we had a blast exploring a fantastic world of classic and contemporary pinball machines.
